Each week a star performer will be selected from all the games played and a short profile will be dedicated on this page to that player.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 10 STAR PLAYER

Damo is the week 10 star player. Damo blocked countless Arsenal Legends efforts as his Bunch of Messi's side won the Parmo7aside by 8 goals to 3 on Tuesday night. The poor man Nemanja Vidic or John Terry.

Damo:

Team: Bunch of Messi's

Position: Centre Half

Highlight of the week: Two cracking goals in the final Tuesday night

Short point: Damo who plays for Crumlin United is a rock soild centre half with excellent ball ability. Damo plays Lenster senior for the time being but based on the skills he has shown in the Parmo7aside in recent weeks Crumlin United will be lucky to keep such a talented footballer at the club. Surely Damo will be playing league of Ireland in the near future. Damo is pictured left of the 3 Crumlin United players pictured above after their 1-0 F.A.I cup victory over Shelbourne

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 9 STAR PLAYER

Andy Boyle is the week 9 star player. Andy who plays for UCD and the Rep of Ireland underage was excellent in Arsenal Legends 7-5 victory vs The Pimps Tuesday night.

Andy Boyle:

Team: Arsenal Legends

Position: Centre Half

Highlight of the week: A superb left footed finish in a rock solid display vs The Pimps.

Short point: Andy is a rock solid centre half full of power and very good on the ball. A key attribute for a player who aspires to play at the highest level is commitment. Andy is a very committed player and from an early age has trained hard not only with his clubs but also alone in order to develop his game. Hard work is the price we must all pay for success, Andy is very much so an example of this motto and if Andy’s form in the league of Ireland is anything to go by the sky is the limit for this talented footballer. Andy is pictured above 4th from the left in the top row with the Rep of Ireland under 18 squad

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 8 STAR PLAYER

Darren Martin is the week 8 star player. Darren who plays for The Pimps was excellent in his sides game vs Cabra. Darren scored 5 of the 24 goals for his side on the night.

Darren Martin:

Team: The Pimps

Position: Centre Midfield

Highlight of the week: Scoring 5 and destroying the Cabra side.

Short point: Darren Martin is a key player for The Pimps. Darren has explosive pace and a real eye for goal. The speed merchant has bagged 12 goals already in the tournament and he is expected to be a key figure for his side in their upcoming semi final vs Arsenal Legends.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 7 STAR PLAYER

Colly is the Parmo7aside week 7 star player this week. Colly again underlined a point made weeks ago that he has the ability to play at league of Ireland level by displaying touches of sheer class and finishing of the highest order as he insured his team overcame Keepitonthedeck Tuesday night. Colly who has a laid back style to playing and is very much a poor man’s  Dimatar Berbatov in the sense he has an outstanding first touch and he never panics on the ball and just ewes class when the ball is at his feet in general.

Colly:

Team: Bunch of Messi's

Position: Centre Forward

Highlight of the week: Scoring 3 and changing the game for his side vs Keepitonthedeck

Short point: Colly is a former Cherry Orchard schoolboy footballer who has recently left Crumlin United senior team following a falling out with the club. Colly pictured above on the top right during a training session at the F.A.I fas football course is a class act and its only a matter of time before a top club comes looking for his signature.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 6 STAR PLAYER

Gary Smith was the week 6 Parmo7aside stand out performer. Gary was sheer class for his side all night vs Supervalu and displayed real strength and superb ball ability throughout the game. Despite being on the losing side on the night Gary was still able to show some touches of real class. The current Saint Kevin’s Boys premier player has all the makings of a top class player, strong, class in possession of a ball and a real football brain for such a young talent. Gary has had some recent injury setbacks but i have absolutely no doubt at all that if he can stir clear of future injuries we will be seeing Gary performing in the eircom league of Ireland in the not to distant future. Gary is pictured here 4th from the left with his arms around 2 Saint Kevins team mates.

Gary Smith:

Team: Arsenal Legends

Position: Centre Mid

Age: 18

Highlight of the week: Scoring 2 and running the show for his side vs Supervalu

Short point: Gary who has had recognition at underage level for the Rep of Ireland is a name to remember. Id bet my house on him having a great career in the league of Ireland provided he can stay injury free and commited to the game.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 5 STAR PLAYER

Neil Byrne is the winner of the Parmo7aside player of the week this week following a battling display vs Bunch of Messi's Tuesday night which saw him bag 4 goals. Neil who is part of the impressive The Pimps team displayed a real heart and will to win throughout the game and scored 4 very impressive goals to bring his overall tournament tally to 5.

Neil Byrne:

Team: The Pimps

Position: Centre Mid

Age: 26

Highlight of the week: A blistering strike from 13 yards which flew past Glen Somers

Short point: Neil along which his team The Pimps are full of heart and a real will to win and it would be no surprize if Neil and his team are lifting the Parmo7aside trophys in the coming weeks

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 4 STAR PLAYER

Ross has won the player of the week for the second time in 4 weeks following a superb display vs Bunch of Messi's Tuesday night which saw him pull of a string of outstanding saves. Rossi performed heroics throughout the game and is now hot on the heels of Glen Somers in the race to win the player of the tournament trophy. Rossi knows his side Supervalu may not make the semi final stage of the competition but surly if that is the case one of the sides who do qualify will invite Rossi to continue to display his amazing form between the sticks.

Ross Donegan:

Team: Supervalu

Position: Goalkeeper

Age: 23

Highlight of the week: Making an outstanding point blank save from Shamrock Rovers player Sean O' Connor

Short point: Ross who plays with Palmerstown Rangers Football club has been outstanding in this tournament and is a serius contender to win the Parmo7aside player of the tournament trophy.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 3 STAR PLAYER

Gavin Donaghue stood out this week in the Parmo7aside for his performance vs Arsenal Legends on Monday night. Gavin had a particularly good second half in the game where he bagged an impressive 4 goals, two of which are contenders for goal of the tournament. Gavin was by far the stand out player this week and deserves this recognition.

Gavin Donaghue:

Team: Bunch of Messi's

Position: Centre half

Age: 20

Highlight of the week: Scoring a tunderbolt which flew in to give his team a 4-3 lead

Short point: Gavin who was released from Sunderland Football Club last summer is currently playing his football with Cherry Orchard senior team in Ballyfermot. Gavin intends to attend university in the coming months to pursue a degree in Sports Science but one can only imagine such a footballing talent will return to football full time be it in England or Ireland sometime in the near future

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 2 STAR PLAYER

For the second week running a goalkeeper has picked up the Parmo7aside player of the week award. Supervalu goalkeeper Ross Donegan aka Rossi who just missed out on the award last week was again outstanding in his sides second game vs The Best.FC this week. Rossi made a number of top class saves and was an easy choice for this weeks award. Supervalu who have conceeded 26 goals in their first 2 games have Rossi to thank that that stat is not twice if not three times worse.

Ross Donegan:

Team: Supervalu

Position: Goalkeeper

Age: 23

Highlight of the week: Making an outstanding point blank save from Johno Kelly

Short point: Ross who plays with Palmerstown Rangers Football club is fast becoming a bet to scoop the Parmo7aside player of the tournament trophy, Ross will no doubt be vital in the coming weeks for his side if they are to make it to the Parmo7aside semi finals stage.

PARMO7ASIDE WEEK 1 STAR PLAYER

Some great football has been on display at the Coldcut this week in the anaugrel Parmo7aside league. This weeks star performer had an outstanding game Monday night in the game featuring Bunch of Messi's and The Best.FC. The award for player of the week this week goes to Glen Somers.

Glen Somers:

Team: A Bunch of Messi's

Position: Goalkeeper

Age: 19

Highlight of the week: Making a world class save from a Paul Dillon penalty kick

Short point: Glen denied The Best.FC on many occasions Monday night, the brother of former Ballyfermot United net minder John Somers Glen is equally as good between the sticks. Glen is a keen boxer but if any football club is reading this it is worth taking note that Glen is not currently signed with a football club to date.
