The Palmerstown All Star League rules are as follows:

 

1.All teams must have 7 available players minimum.

 

2.If a team cannot make a game 5 days notice must be given.

 

3.If a team fails to give notice and does not turn up for a game the team will be taken out of the league and replaced.

 

4.All 7 players from each team must pay 5 euro per player to cover the cost of renting a pitch plus referee fee, the remaining money will go towards the league winners kitty.

 

5.All teams must pay the 5 euro a player fee for a game before kick off.

 

6.Teams must arrive at the coldcut at least ten mins before kick off.

 

7.The bibs and match balls must be returned at the end of each game

 

8.The referee for all games will be Roy Kavanagh, Derek Kavanagh, Graham McAuley or Patrick Kavanagh, foul and abusive language towards the referee will result in a straight red card.

 

9.Games will last 50 minutes, there will be 5 minutes aloud to warm up prior to game and a 5 minute half time period at the end of the first 25 minutes.

 

10.A yellow card results in a warning.

 

11.A red card means a player will be given a sin bin time out of 5 minutes.

 

12.If the ball hits the netting or gate at either side of the pitch the ball is still in play, the referee will brandish a yellow card to any player who pushes or fouls a player into the net or gate.

 

13.If the ball goes behind the goal this will result in a goal kick.

 

14.A player cannot score from his own half.

 

15.A player may score anywere within the oposition half.

 

16.Should a team conceed a goal they must resume play from their own goal.

 

17.There is no height limit the ball my travel.

 

18.Corner kicks will be given should a team win one.

 

19. Slide tackles are allowed on the pitch.

 

20.Penalty kicks are taken from outer line of penalty box.

 

21.A team may field any 7 players they wish, a team can change their whole starting 7

from week to week if they wish.

 

22.Subs are allowed should a team have more than 7 players. An unlimited amount of subs may take place.

 

23.The referee will keep track of all match scores and goal scores.

 

24.The player with the most man of the match awards at the end of the league will be crowned player of the tournament.

 

25.The player with the most goals at the end of the league will win the top goal scorer trophy.

 

26.The league winners will get the league trophy and a cash prize.

 

27.3 points is given for a win.

 

28.1 point is given for a draw.

 

29.0 points for a loss.

 

30.1st place will play the team who finnish 4th and 2nd place play 3rd place.

 

31.The winners of the final will be crowned the champions.

 

32.In the event a team turns up with less than 7 players they must play the game.

 

33.The team that finnish bottom of the league will be relegated, this means the next season the league runs the team that finnish bottom this season will not be allowed enter, this rule keeps both the top and bottom of the league competative throghout the 10 weeks.

 

34.Only players that have featured in at least 2 league games for there team will be allowed feature in the final should there side progress that far.
